The Management of Sam Maris University, Supare-Akoko, Ondo State, has paid a courtesy visit to the Olusupare of Supare Kingdom, HRM Oba Fasusi Adewale Richard (Fadulu II), congratulating him on his ascension to the throne and reaffirming the University’s commitment to the development of the community.

The Vice-Chancellor of the University, Prof. Francis A. Gbore, led the Management team to the Olusupare’s palace on Thursday, where he presented a congratulatory letter to the monarch on behalf of the University.

The visit underscored the commitment of the University’s leadership, led by the Chairman of the Board of Trustees, Mr Sam T. Ologunorisa, SAN, and the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Francis A. Gbore, to fostering a strong relationship between the University and the Supare traditional institution.

Prof. Gbore congratulated Oba Fasusi on his emergence as the traditional ruler of Supare Kingdom and assured him of the University’s continued support for initiatives that promote education and community development.

He said Sam Maris University remained committed to its mandate of producing future leaders equipped to make meaningful contributions to society, adding that the institution would continue to contribute positively to the development of Supare Kingdom and its environs.

Responding, the Olusupare expressed appreciation to the University Management for the visit and commended Sam Maris University for its positive impact on the community.

The monarch particularly praised the University for the pace of infrastructural development recorded within its relatively short period of existence, describing Sam Maris University as a source of pride to Supare Kingdom.
Oba Fasusi urged the University to sustain its efforts towards the advancement of the community and the wider society, assuring the institution of his support in achieving its educational objectives.

The Vice-Chancellor was accompanied by the Registrar, Mr David S. Daramola, the Acting Bursar, Mr Oluwatoyin Orisamoyi, the Acting Chief Security Officer, Mr. Friday Adedeji, as well as other members of staff including Mr. Temitope Aderogba and Miss Grace Eniolorunda.
