The Vice-Chancellor of Sam Maris University, Supare-Akoko, Ondo State, Prof. Francis Ayodeji Gbore, has felicitated the Muslim Ummah in Nigeria and across the world on the occasion of Eid el Maulud, commemorating the birth of Prophet Muhammad (SAW).

In a goodwill message, the Vice-Chancellor extended warm greetings to the University’s Muslim staff and students and wished them a peaceful, meaningful and rewarding celebration.

He urged the Muslim faithful to use the occasion to reflect on the exemplary life and teachings of Prophet Muhammad (SAW), particularly his virtues of peace, humility, compassion, tolerance and service to humanity.

Prof. Gbore reaffirmed Sam Maris University’s commitment to academic excellence, character development and practical training that equips students with the knowledge and skills required to make meaningful contributions to society.

He noted that the University’s commitment to quality teaching and practical learning was yielding positive results, citing recent commendations received from stakeholders at the Federal Medical Centre, Owo, on the performance of the University’s students undergoing clinical training at the hospital.

According to him, the commendation particularly recognised the students’ knowledge, professional conduct and level of preparedness during their clinical attachment, reflecting the quality of training provided by the University.

The Vice-Chancellor described the commendation as an encouraging validation of the University’s investment in quality teaching, practical learning and holistic student development.

“We are encouraged by the positive feedback from stakeholders at the Federal Medical Centre, Owo. It reinforces our commitment to providing quality education and ensuring that our students are adequately prepared for their professional careers.”

He assured that the University would continue to strengthen its academic programmes, practical training and student development initiatives in line with its commitment to producing well-rounded graduates who can contribute meaningfully to national and global development.

Prof. Gbore also disclosed that admission into undergraduate programmes at Sam Maris University is currently ongoing. He therefore encouraged prospective students and parents seeking quality university education to explore the opportunities available across the University’s degree programmes.
