The Vice-Chancellor of Sam Maris University, Supare-Akoko, Ondo State, Prof. Francis Gbore, has assured students of the institution’s unwavering commitment to their safety despite prevailing security challenges in some parts of the country.

In a statement made available to journalists on Wednesday, Prof. Gbore said the University Management had remained proactive in safeguarding lives and property on campus and its environs.

He noted that in the context of existing security challenges in some parts of the country, Sam Maris University has reinforced its internal security framework to ensure a safe, peaceful, and conducive environment for teaching and learning.

According to the Vice-Chancellor, the welfare and protection of students and staff remain a top priority, adding that Management will continue to implement all necessary measures to prevent any breach of security.

Prof. Gbore also reassured students and parents that the institution would not compromise its academic standards, stressing that Sam Maris University remains steadfast in its vision of producing world-class graduates capable of making meaningful contributions to society.
