SMU VC urges discipline as second semester lectures begin
The Vice Chancellor of Sam Maris University, Prof. Francis Gbore, has reiterated the institution’s commitment to discipline as academic activities commence for the Second Semester 2025/2026 Academic Session.
In a statement issued on Tuesday, he congratulated students on the successful completion of the first semester and urged them to approach the new phase with renewed determination and dedication to excellence.
He emphasised strict adherence to the University’s rules and regulations, noting that discipline remains fundamental to both academic and personal success.
He further encouraged students to remain punctual, actively engaged in their studies, and consistent in their efforts.
“On behalf of the Management of Sam Maris University, I congratulate you on successfully completing the first semester and encourage you to remain committed to your academic pursuits. Let discipline guide your actions at all times as you strive for excellence. Lectures have commenced,” he said.
In addition, he further advised that students should make judicious use of the University’s learning facilities, particularly the recently procured resources, to enhance their academic performance and overall learning experience.
The Vice Chancellor reassured students of the university’s commitment to maintaining high academic standards and providing a conducive learning environment, adding that the institution remains focused on producing disciplined and industry-ready graduates.
He wished all students a successful and rewarding second semester.
